That is rate for people testing positive -- not overall population


328.2 million people in America. As of a couple days ago 633, 775 people had tested positive. That is about 0.19% of the general population. Of the positives, 138, 101 had died. That is 0.09% of total population.

This is a new, different, and nasty disease. The death rate -- having started from zero -- can't do anything but increase. So how informative is it as a metric?
